See it in action

The real workbook, recalculated in LibreOffice, filled with the made-up trades from the sample copy that ships with it.

32-second silent walkthrough with captions. Example data: made-up trades, not a real account.

Most trading journals were built for stocks. Crypto perpetual futures add fees on every fill, funding payments every few hours and leverage, and a journal that ignores them can make a losing strategy look profitable. This journal counts all of it, and every statistic links back to the rows and formula that produced it.

It's a one-time purchase: an Excel workbook (formulas only, no macros) that also opens in Google Sheets and LibreOffice, with a sample copy full of made-up trades so you can explore first.

What's included in version 1.2

  • Free in-browser importer. Try it now: it turns exchange exports into paste-ready journal rows. It runs entirely in your browser, works offline and your files never leave your device
  • Importer formats for Coinbase Advanced, Binance, Bybit, Kraken, OKX and Hyperliquid. Each one's verification status is published: Coinbase's API fill format was tested on a real account's fills, and its CSV export on sample files (Coinbase doesn't publish that format). The other exchanges were tested against their official API or export documentation, and two website CSV formats are marked unverified
  • Fills grouped into round-trip trades, with fees and funding counted in your profit and loss
  • Per-trade plan versus result: planned stop and target, risk in R, setup and mistake tags, notes
  • Dashboard of about 34 metrics: net after fees and funding, win rate, expectancy in R, profit factor, maximum drawdown, fee drag, long/short and spot/perp splits, plus breakdowns by setup, symbol, exchange, weekday and hour
  • Tax records for Australia, the US, the UK and Canada (plus a generic mode): each taxable event valued in your local currency, with the exchange rate and its source, using each authority's published matching rules (ATO FIFO parcels and the 12-month discount flag; IRS Form 8949 short/long-term; HMRC same-day, 30-day and Section 104 pooling; CRA adjusted cost base and superficial losses) and a year-end summary for each tax year
  • Risk calculator, monthly results, a weekly review page and a methods tab that shows every formula used

What it won't do

  • Give tax advice or file a return. The tax sheets are records for you and your registered tax agent; perpetual futures and funding are flagged for professional review because tax authorities haven't settled how they're treated
  • Connect to your exchange or store API keys. You download your own export files
  • Predict anything. Your past results don't predict future results
  • Show exact liquidation prices. Any liquidation figure is labelled as an estimate, because exchange formulas differ

Tested in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice, and checked against official worked examples from the ATO, IRS, HMRC and CRA. If anything doesn't work in your copy, email us and we'll fix it or refund you.
